President - Jeff Gomon

Jeff has been a BMW Car Club member since September of 1991. His first BMW was a Diamond Black 85' 325e four door that got him hooked. Stationed in Virginia Beach, VA while serving in the US Navy, he was a very active member of the Tidewater Chapter.

In 1996, after a 10 year military career in Naval Aviation, he returned home to Lincoln with his wife and daughter to work at Duncan Aviation. His second BMW is an Alpine White/Black leather 1991 ///M5 that he purchased in Feb. of 99' with only 30k miles. As of May 2008, the M5 has clocked 100k miles since its 8/90 production date. An X5 also shares the garage.

He has been President of this chapter since early 1999.

Vice President - Dave Gannon

Dave has been a member of the BMW Car Club of America for 25 years when he bought his first BMW--a new 1985 325e. He has owned, and enthusiastically driven, a BMW 2002 and three E30 BMWs--a 325e, a 325iX, and an M3. His current BMW is a pristine 1988 Henna Red E30 M3 which serves as his road trip car and provides him with endless amusement at club driving events.

After spending most of his life in New England, Dave and his cars transferred to the Missouri Valley Chapter in 2009. Other hobbies include homebrewing and beer hunting. He plans to resume his passion for soaring (flying sailplanes) now that he has moved to a state where there is a soaring club. In order to finance his hobbies, Dave works at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Treasurer - Lynn Kost Virant

Lynn has been a member of the chapter for eight years, before becoming Membership Coordinator she was one of the "Members-At-Large". She also serverd as registrar for last year's Driving School. Lynn and husband, Greg, and enjoy traveling to numerous national BMW events. This year O'fest being held in Greensboro North Carolina will the 8th they have attended. Other memoriable trips include the visits to the Monterey Historic Races (sp) when BMW was the Guest Marquee and the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, when BMW was the Guest Marquee.

A 1988 Henna M3 (Greg's daily driver)and a 1991 325 iX (Lynn's daily driver) share the garage with a red 1973 Triumph TR6. Lynn and Greg drive TR6 to national events as well as local Triumph and British Car meets.

Another hobby is cooking chili competitively around the continental United States. Their passion and skill has resulted in several wins.

Secretary - Sheridan White

Sheridan has been a member since Oct 1997 and took delivery of his first
BMW in Dec of that year. Currently in the White garage are a 1991 319IS,
a 1998 318ti/DASC and a 2004 325iT. Sheridan has held positions with the
local chapter as the DEC, VP and at the National level as the North
Central Region DEC rep. Sheridan is also the chapter's Chief Instructor.
You will find Sheridan at numerous BMW CCA Driver's Schools, open track
days and mentoring for the CCA Instructor Training Schools throughout
the region.

Driving Events Coordinator - Chet Dawes

Chet has been a BMW Car Club member since 2000 and transplanted from the Motor City Chapter to the Missouri Valley Chapter in 2007. After 8 years as an engineer in the automotive industry, he and his family returned to Nebraska where he works for Lincoln Composites. His BMW stable currently includes a 2003 325i Touring, a 2000 323i Sedan and a classic 911 (we don't hold that against him). With a passion for all things motorsport related, Chet is an avid road racing fan and can usually be found at club track events throughout the region.
